Rolling over to her side, careful to make sure the blanket remained over her naked chest, Carly propped her head on her fist and smiled at the blonde.
"Was it when I defended my rights for my tunafish sandwich?"
"Ha, no. That made me respect you," Sam laughed. Threading her fingers through loose strands of dark hair that hung over Carly's naked shoulder and neck, the blonde smiled fondly. "It was when you showed me what it was like to have a person care about me. When you showed me what actual love was, not that twisted crap stuff my mom shows me."
Capturing Sam's hand, Carly brought it to her lips, kissing the blonde's fingertips. The blush that touched Sam's cheeks made the brunette giggle, which triggered a bout of laughter from the blonde.
"You're welcome," Carly finally said with a earnest smile.
Sam leaned over and hugged her girlfriend to hide the tears in her eyes.
