Ginny knows she can be impatient. Some people call it a Gryffindor trait, some call it a Weasley trait.
Ginny’s always found that ridiculous and more than a little annoying. She should be allowed to own her flaws, not blame them on her House or name.
Besides, just because she can be impatient, doesn’t mean it defines her. It doesn’t mean she’s incapable of taking her time. Of taking it slow.
But maybe that’s okay, that other people can’t believe it possible she’d have the patience to savour the moment, any moment. That just makes it private, makes it secret, when her fingers trail slowly over the skin of Luna’s inner calves. Just between the two of them, when Luna sighs softly. For her eyes only, when Luna’s thighs fan open for her and her back arches off the bed.
Some things are worth slowing down for. Such as the breathy little noises Luna makes when Ginny’s fingers slide higher, slow and careful and deliberate.
Ginny can be patient for those.
Luna always did bring out the best in her.
