I can't believe I haven't read this. I've been looking through the memories section to see if there was anything I could remix and damn girl --this is *blubbers on incoherently*... Roslin in evil mode just slays me! Agh! The Cain/Roslin dynamic is so interesting to explore (I'm working on a fic right now, though I doubt I've got enough kink to make it believable...sigh) and I think the likes of you have set my standard for Cain fic. This was gorgeous and violent, and HOT.

Evil Roslin rocks my socks.

you rock my socks! I still have a whole pile of belated feedback from you to catch up on. Cain was a big brightly-wrapped present to Roslin slashers because she's the only other female character of anything approaching Laura's age and power and status (otherwise we turned to crossovers). they're perfect foils for each other. I love the pairing too!

I liked your story a lot. It's dark but very fitting. It's also nice to see Cain being punished for what she's done/allowed to happen. I wouldn't mind seeing more!

thanks for the comment! the violence that swirls around Cain is irresistible. The Book of Betrayal is pretty much my more fully elaborated follow-up to this one.

Also, evil!Laura is... hmm. Not necessarily in character in that particular situation, but I don't doubt she'd have done something could she have mustered the energy at that point. As things were, I doubt she ever knew what Cain herself did to Gina. But this fic is good work.

I wrote this in the early days of Cainslash, during the hiatus before Res Ship aired -- I guess mostly as a thought experiment? certainly these relationships and consequences were eventually developed more in both canon and fanon. the drabble could certainly use a remix! but I remain fascinated by the dynamics of punishment and sexual violence. I'm glad you enjoyed!

Ah, I see! I took quite a long time to get caught up with BSG, so I'm going through fic I haven't seen before... there isn't a lot of that, but I'm looking for it! *grin*
