I remember at the end of Martha's arc on TW that Tosh was the only character who didn't say goodbye to her in that last scene. That sparked the idea in my head that maybe she knew they'd be seeing each other again and I've pretty much loved them ever since:) And a big part of that, as you mentioned, is the incredibly angsty possibilities:)
