Drabble Cycle Round 5 ~ Academia
Hello wonderful comm members! The results of our drabble cycle poll are in, and it looks like our new round is going to be based on Academia! For those of you who would have preferred something else, don't worry - running a second round starting in winter turned out to be an incredibly popular option, so we've all got that to look forward to.
For this challenge we'll be writing 25 drabbles, and our topics are:

on the drabbles themselves:
- To finish the challenge you will have to write 25 drabbles, one for each of the topics listed.
- The topics may be interpreted as literally or as loosely as you'd like.
- You can post your drabbles in any order and at any time prior to the deadline of July 31, 2011.
- Your drabbles must follow general community rules - femslash, no more than 250 words, etc.
- Please tag all your entries in this challenge with the tag "academia".
- You'll index the stories yourself - you can either use a table or just list the prompts out. You can make the index post either to the community or to your own journal, and then you'll add stories to it as you complete them. Comment to this post when you've finished the table and I'll add you to the list of people who've finished.
- You are allowed to cross-post your drabbles to other communities and journals (in accordance with their rules, obviously). Just remember to post a link to them to our comm at some point - you can either post as you're doing them or wait and post your whole table when you're done.
on making claims:
- For this challenge each participant is going to claim a single unique subject. This can be a pairing, a character, a fandom, a genre, etc (and for this challenge, picking a genre to write original fiction in is allowable). And if somebody claims a character you can still use that character in a pairing, or if someone has claimed your fandom you can still pick a character from within that fandom.
- Since original fiction is kind of a particular thing, and generally not allowed on the comm outside this particular challenge, I've decided to let up to three people claim it. In addition, you can also claim a specific genre of original fiction, for example "original fiction - fantasy".
- You can make a second (and a third and etc.) claim, but only after you've finished the first one.
- You can continue to make claims right up until the deadline.
- If you didn't finish your claim from an earlier drabble cycle that doesn't preclude you from making a claim in this one.
