As Gracious As She Was Graceful
Of all the strange and wonderful creatures Alice had met on her adventure surely the White Queen was among the most bizarre and fabulous.
She was a girl, just like Alice, yet so much different.
She moved with an inhuman grace, seeming to glide rather than walk and her hands were not so much hands as the wings of birds, fluttering about her or the heads of swans undulating on their long, lovely necks.
Compared to the Queen, Alice felt quite clumsy (it didn’t help that she was twice her usual size) but the Queen was as gracious as she was graceful and smiling sweetly took Alice’s huge hand in her own.
