Sarah Jane shot Maria a rueful smile. God, she didn’t want a fucking apology! Maria clasped her hands round the back of Sarah Jane’s head and kissed her passionately. The older woman’s lips were soft and tasted sweeter than Maria had expected. Surprisingly, they were also kissing Maria back just as enthusiastically. Maria wrapped her arms around Sarah Jane’s waist as she tentatively deepened the kiss. Tongue met tongue and then there were hands everywhere, stroking and touching skin and pulling at clothes. Suddenly Sarah Jane’s hand connected with Maria’s cheek in a resounding slap, stopping everything in its tracks.
