Title: In The Gods We Trust.
Prompt: 177 - vision
Fandom: Battlestar Galactica
Pairing: Kara Thrace/Laura Roslin
Rating: PG-13 for good measure
Word Count: 145
Warning: Set around the beginning of Season 4 (episode 2 I think)
A/N: First time writing for BSG, so forgive me if it's horrible.

As Starbuck shouted at the President, the older woman couldn’t help but feel a bit empty inside. This thing in front her was talking as if she knew her, but that wasn’t possible. Her Starbuck was dead. This thing wasn’t, and couldn’t be, her Starbuck. It was a cylon.

“I followed you on a frakking vision, a vision, that’s it.” The cylon snapped. "All I'm asking you to do is trust me. Gods, that's it. Just trust me." It placed the gun on the table and for a moment, Laura thought, maybe it was possible that she wasn’t a cylon. Just for a moment she considered maybe her Starbuck wasn’t dead. Just for a moment the President was able to see that old spark in the other woman’s eye. But, no, it wasn’t possible, no matter how much her heart ached, it just wasn’t true.
