this is yummy -- the sweaty heat of august is palpable. I do *heart* Millicent, one of our fanon lesbians.

one suggestion: to give a drabble shape (as an all-inclusive story), it helps to end with a sort of punchline, or some conclusion. for example, you could improve this here simply by breaking up the long last sentence into smaller ones -- shorter sentences are more dramatic.
