Title: Like Captain, Like Ship
Prompt: Challenge #112-Pirate
Fandom: BSG
Pairing: Cain/Gina
Rating: PG-13
Word count: 150
Scrounging, open space, and the useless Cylon attacks dragged the lonely weeks into months of interminable emptiness until Cain convinced herself that the attacks had purpose. That they weren’t just retribution for her own betrayal.
It had been three months since she gave her lover’s body over to the men and watched them streak it with blood and paint it with bruises. She watched Gina still, from the dark of the observation room, remembering soft hands along her thigh and the now split and bloody lip against her cheek.
And the days passed in plunder. Plundering worlds unmapped for resources, plundering the Cylons for no reason other than the thrill of the fight, a thrill long numbed in her own blood. Days of watching others plunder the body that used to be hers and nights counting the fragments missing from her heart as the ship trudged on, cold and alone.
Title: Intervening Selfishness
Prompt: Challenge #112-Pirate
Fandom: BSG
Pairing: Cain/Roslin
Rating: Adult
Word count: 100
Roslin made her feel like a pirate. As if Cain had been scrounging off the universe, alone in the vastness of space, because she enjoyed it while Roslin, all holy and self-righteous, had been keeping together the last of humanity.
But pressed up against the wall of Roslin’s office she realized Roslin was right. Cain was not interested in saving humanity, Cain was interested in survival, ruthless and efficient. Take what you want and move on. It was an impulse the President, still gasping from her own climax fingers thrust deep inside Cain, understood far more than she let on.
