Six waited outside Laura Roslin’s cell, uncertainty showing in her posture. The logical response to the former President’s continued defiance was to terminate her existence, but Gaius argued long and hard against it, persuading her that Roslin as a martyr was a far more dangerous proposition.
The emotional part of Six truly wanted Laura to believe in her God, because if Laura believed, then everything was possible. Cylon and human could coexist.
Taking a deep breath Six entered the cell. Laura was sat in her usual position leaning against the wall, feelings locked within her mind. This time, however, Laura did not ignore her presence. This time she looked up, meeting Six’s gaze, allowing her guards and defences to drop.
Deep in Laura’s eyes Six saw the Gods’ mark, the Prophet Soul within, and knew her hope was lost because Laura’s Gods jealously guarded those they believed belonged to them.
