"I will turn all your seas to ice."
"You DARE threaten ME?!" he roars, wind blasting across the seas. The ocean's depths churn with his anger, and somewhere, a hurricane slaughters an entire island and all the life it holds -- all because she dares make him angry, all because she dares love his daughter.
"Yes," the Witch from the North says with calmness that infuriates him even further.
"SOME PEOPLE WORSHIP ME AS A GOD!"
"Some people fear me as something no God would touch, but we are not here to keep score. I am here, Triton, because I love your daughter. You are my last barrier to her, and you stand in my way, I realize, only because you love her too."
"YOU ARE NOT WORTHY OF HER!" Hurricanes spiral through the ocean. Humans scream, try to flee, and die. He knows every one of their deaths, feels every one of them, but as the Ice Witch said, they are not here to keep score.
"Daddy -- "
"NOT NOW, ARIEL! YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU ASK! NOR DO YOU, WITCH!"
"I simply ask for the freedom of the one I love."
"IT IS FORBIDDEN!"
"What? For a Princess to be free? For a woman to choose who she loves?"
"FOR OUR PEOPLE TO STEP ONTO LAND!"
"Then let me go to her."
"NO!" Triton strikes the ocean with his staff. Ariel screams as Elsa is carried away by a tsunami. If they were keeping score, her father just won.
"One day, you will understand."
"I understand! I understand you don't want me to be happy! You want me to stay yours forever! Perhaps Elsa was right. Maybe you fought her because you did not want to lose me, but you just did!" Ariel flips around and starts to swim away but stops when she hears Elsa scream. Her heart breaking, Ariel looks back at the typhoon just in time to see it blasted away in shards of ice and snow.
Elsa glowers at Triton. "I WILL NEVER STOP LOVING YOUR DAUGHTER!" she screams, her words catching at Ariel's heart. "I will give my kingdom, my land, my all to be with her! You took my sister already, and my parents! I have nothing left in this world save her! She is your daughter, but she is my Queen and I will gladly spend my life worshipping her!"
"YOU SPEAK WELL, BUT YOU ARE STILL -- "
"She is still the woman I love, Father! It may be forbidden, but you are the one who makes all the rules! Strike that law down, or lose my love forever! That is your choice! If you hurt Elsa, or keep us apart, you may have me trapped in your kingdom, but you will never have my love again!"
Triton sighs. "You're as stubborn as your mother!"
"More!"
With a flick of his mighty wrist, Elsa becomes a merwoman, freed of her responsibilities and free to love the woman she chooses ever after.
The End
