Title: Nightswimming Fandom: South of Nowhere Pairing: Ashley/Spencer Rating: PG Word count: 4 @ 150 each = 600 tot A/N: Bringing the South love Challenge: Weakness
Ah, there you are. Thought I wouldn't find you, sweetie? Hmm?
Ashley thinks about the girl on the other end of the line, safe and sound in bed. Spencer knows security, comfort, because she has that, believes it exists. This is why Ashley seeks her out, why she needs her. She would have never guessed that Spencer would be the strong one and she, in the dark, would whisper her weaknesses, lay them bare. And with a soft breath, the other girl had the power to dissolve them all away.
Ashley believes in magic again.
I like this a lot. And I'm happy to see you writing. :)
Sweetie, since you haven't written me any SON fic, I had to resort to desperate measures. Much like a sad junkie, I've gone through all the good stuff out there (eg jengrrrl, ripptyd, philosophy87, pegleg) that I can find and now I have to cook up my own! I need my fix, darling. You understand.
If only I could convince you and quasiradiant to watch/write SON, I'd have more quality well-written hot teen lesbian angst and drama to keep me in the style of which I have become accustomed. I ask for so very little..
this is heartbreaking and heartwarming in the way that only teenagers in love can be. you've done the perfect Ashley.
as for convincing theholyinnocent and quasiradiant to watch SoN, I'm *working* on it! the new season is starting momentarily (EEEEEEEEEEEEE), so perhaps another round of pimping is in order... (and have you seen Sugar Rush? it's equally satisfying.)

“I think you were probably sleeping, sweetheart” (It is only during these late night half-awake conversations that Ashley whispers that endearment).
And this summed up Ashley's character, her innate insecurity, so well.
Thanks.
(And, yes - please work on the Oh-so-Innocent-one to do some SoN work.)
