Author’s Note: this is a double fill, I wrote it twice, once from each woman’s perspective
Summary: Alice and Hermione reconnect

Hermione watched from across the counter as Alice poured the wine. The rich red Merlot sloshed into the glass; Hermione focused on the wine until Alice lifted the bottle, stopping the stream.

She took hold of the glass by the rim with all five fingers of her left hand and held it out to her returned prodigal girlfriend.

Hermione accepted it by the stem and brought it up to her nose and inhaled slowly.

Alice shrugged nonchalantly. “I imagine it isn’t as lavish as Hiram-”

“Don’t.” Hermione said suddenly. Alice paused mid-pour as she filled a glass for herself. “Don’t say his name.”

“Whatever you say.” Alice said coolly, though her heart was pounding underneath her buttercream colored cardigan and yellow lace camisole. Alice had once thought she had moved on from her feelings for the dark haired beauty. She had believed that their attraction to each other, while passionate and consuming, was fleeting. It was unsettling how much of an effect Hermione still had on her after all these years away.

Hermione slid along the curve of the countertop, fingers gliding first over cold granite, then over the soft skin of Alice’s left hand. Hermione’s other hand came up to cup Alice’s cheek. Alice held her breath, afraid that if she moved Hermione would come to her senses and release her.

“The only name I want to hear from your lips is mine,” Hermione purred, lips hovering over Alice’s.

“Hermione…” She moaned shakily as Hermione’s lips crashed into Alice’s.

Hermione watched from across the counter as Alice poured the wine. The rich red Merlot sloshed into the glass; Hermione focused on the wine until Alice lifted the bottle, stopping the stream. Alice held out the glass to the other woman.

Hermione accepted the glass, bringing it to her nose, ostensibly smelling the bouquet but actually taking a deep breath in order to smell any lingering scent of Alice.

“I imagine it isn’t as lavish as Hiram-” said, pursing her lips defensively.

“Don’t.” Hermione frowned, shaking her head. “Don’t say his name.”

“Whatever you say.” Alice replied, topping off her wine and taking a big swig.

Hermione admired the curve of her nose, the sharp cheekbones. Alice was beautiful in high school and, though Hermione wouldn’t have thought it possible, she was even more beautiful now. Hermione’s pulse quickened as she remembered going to see Ghost at the Twilight, Alice reaching for Hermione’s hand and they ended up in the backseat of Hermione’s mom’s ’83 Chevy Caprice.

Suddenly overcome with the bravado of remembered youth, Hermione rounded the counter, putting her hand over Alice’s as Alice had done to her all those years prior. She cupped Alice’s cheek, searching her eyes for resistance but finding only desire; a shot of arousal pulsed through her. Her lips hovered over Alice’s, “the only name I want to hear from your lips is mine.”

“Hermione…” she whimpered as the other woman claimed her lips hungrily and with the same desperation as that first night.

Title: Impulse
Author: Coco | madampresident | grrriliketigers on AO3
Fandom: Riverdale: Cheryl/Veronica
Prompt: fire | Requested by fresh_brainss
Word Count: 100
Summary: Cheryl and Veronica are both accustomed to getting their way.

“Why did you invite me to this… ‘sleepover?’” Veronica asked, watching the light from the fire dance over Cheryl Blossom’s striking features.

“When you and Betty tried out for the Sirens and you kissed at the end? I wasn’t shocked. Like I said.” Cheryl began, talking to the fire instead of looking at Veronica.

“Yeah. That was… an impulse.” Veronica admitted.

Cheryl turned to the brunette. “So was inviting you over tonight.” She slid her fingers into Veronica’s hair. “And so is this. Blossoms always take what they want.”

“Lodges too.” Veronica grinned, kissing her roughly; Cheryl gasped a moan.
