I loved "Some Glory in Defeat"! I like your take on Kara and Roslin's relationship, the ego-petting on Kara's part and Roslin's surrender. Loved this!

Thanks! Despite them having almost no scenes together and even then, not having particular chemistry, the Kara/Laura pairing just works. Laura gets someone who has no respect for authority (and therefore hot sex ensues, well in my head anyhoo) and Kara gets someone she doesn't have to be "Starbuck" with. A good set-up of give and take.

My favourite bit was the part that began with 'In fact, all that's sort of a lie" and ends with "Becasue Laura makes Kara feel like she has a right to be there."

It puts a nice slant on things, and it says 'yes, in fact, there is something vulnerable under the bravado'. I'm a bit of a sucker for that sort of revelation. ;-)

So, it seems, am I. I can't help it, that just appears to be the way I'm writing Kara/Laura at the moment, with an emphasis on the Kara/Starbuck divide, which Roslin would see really clearly. Glad to write something that makes you a lil bit happy. :)

Who are the people in your icon? Oh, wait, I can see the names. Never mind. :-) The blond is Kara?

She's pretty. :-)

This was very good. I like the way that equality is established at the end. These two are a personal fave of mine!
