Hermione entered the Great Hall casting a brief glance at the Slytherin table. She didn't curl her lip until she's seated beside Ginny. A cackling laughter reached her ears.
"Are you okay?" Ginny asked. "You look murderous."
Hermione clenched her jaw. "I'm fine, Ginny. Thank you."
They ate in silence as the rest of their housemates slowly joined them, but that piercing cackle of laughter made Hermione sit straighter in her seat. It's not until Ginny was prying a fork out of her hand did she realize how tense she was.
"Are you fighting with Parkinson again?" Ginny asked, glancing over her shoulder at the Slytherin table.
"No," Hermione replied sharply.
"Oy? Then why is she hanging off of Greengrass and throwing smirks at your back?"
Hermione stood abruptly. "I don't feel like eating anymore," she announced and left.

Hermione grabbed Pansy later in the day and slammed her against a stone wall. She waited until the corridor cleared out before slapping Pansy.
"How dare you," she spat. "make a mockery of me like that!"
Pansy only smirked. "I thought you said you wouldn't get jealous if I flirted with other girls?"
"That wasn't flirting, Parkinson! You were basically trying to fuck her to prove a point!"
Pansy laughed and grabbed Hermione's wrist when she tried to strike her again. "We both know you're the only one I want to fuck, if you weren't such a prude."
She walked away, blowing a kiss at the Gryffindor. Hermione was livid.
