When she woke up with a gun in her hand and Pollack’s blood on her dress, Jordan began to panic. When Lily entered the room, and she looked in her frightened eyes, the panic increased and Jordan thought she would cry or throw up. Or possibly both.
But as soon as she felt Lily touch her, the panic began to subside. And when Lily held on to her arms, telling her to calm down, Jordan felt the panic disappear all together. She knew that this was far from over, but Lily’s touch had calmed her.
At least for the moment.
