Taylor closed the door and shut out the world. She rested her head against it.
"Hey."
Taylor turned, Karlie was sitting on the bed wearing a fluffy white robe. "I'm sorry," Taylor said, rubbing her palms anxiously on the sides of her skirt. "I'm sorry I've been so cold lately, it's just, god, I'm getting all stressed out all the time these days."
"Come here," Karlie beckoned with both hands. Taylor did, slowly, feeling ashamed and messed up for treating her best friend so bad.
When she reached her Karlie pulled her closer, guided her to her lap. Taylor eased onto Karlie's lap, knees either side of the model's hips. They put their foreheads together, hugging each other.
"I'm sorry, I just wish I could escape sometimes," said Taylor. "I didn't mean for you to get hurt."
"Escape now," Karlie said quietly. "Escape with me."
"I've been a real bad girlfriend."
"We can make it better," Karlie looked her in the eyes and Taylor saw such sweet love, the kind that promised they could be perfectly together forever.
Taylor kissed her, soft and sweet and trying to convey in the way that her words couldn't how she felt. She could write a hundred songs about love and never capture the beautiful warmth of just being in Karlie's arms. "You save me," she said and kissed Karlie again.
Making out slow and sweet they lost themselves in their own world.
