"I worry about you, Milady. The fashions conceal your condition, but-- what if the father never returns?"
Padme's appeasing smile contained puzzlement. "It is my child, mine! --father or no father, my dear."
Motee's lips trembled. Abruptly she pulled upon a handful of that dark, curling hair, to bring the smaller woman close. Padme took Motee's lower lip between her teeth, pulling back-- a reassurance.
