Oh, oh, oh! I LOVE THESE. I had no idea Mary Poppins slash even existed (although now I'm totally writing Lily/Mrs Ramsey slash from Virginia Woolf's 'To The Lighthouse' - I blame you).

yes Virginia, there IS a santa claus :). most Poppins slash seems to be xover with HP, which I'm all for -- I still have to find this McGonagall one I read a while back. and I suppose Mary/Mrs. Banks is another possibility. but this is very probably the first Mary/Jane fic EVAR hurrah.

and OMG Woolf slash eeeeee! that totally kicks ass and you should post it at rarelitslash. go rarepairs!!

hee! oh, damn. Brilliance. I tip my hat off to you. "Get yourself dressed dear, spit-spot. We mustn't lie abed all day.". god, I know I shouldn't laugh, but that's so Mary. what a situation.

Backwards - I love it. creative, and they get to have sex. I love your dialogue throughout it, as well. I can really hear her clipped restraint.

A jolly holiday with Mary, indeed. ;)

Mary Poppins?! I really, really need to watch the movie again, now.

I love the backwards of this. It feels like the way Jane lives it. And "The habit became native, a secret investigative fervor" is perfect.

you SO need to watch it again! it's hottt. glad the backwards worked -- it was C's idea (tangentially), and perhaps contrived, but ultimately I think the fic needed it. Mary Poppins, after all.

Oh YES. I love it! i love Mary and her matter-of-fact way with all things including sex.

I like the backwards format. It's not too obvious - so subtle, it confuses the reader a little - and in a good way, I mean, like it's a mystery.

Also, I was *so* right about the sex. I'm just saying. *g*

you're ALWAYS right! but your suggestion that I start with the sex totally put the backwards idea into my head. so I'm glad you liked it -- I would have CRIED if you didn't. :*
