I got called for jury duty earlier this week--ironically, both noeon and I got called for the same day in a weird statistical anomaly which turned out to be rather providential. It has not turned into a fluffy, warm we-are-all-loved-and-we-love-everyone sermon, I'm afraid; it's more of a fuck you, if you're going to call yourself a Christian, then buck up, buttercup, and learn how to actually act in love to people you may not like and not be a jackass douchebag if they're different from you in any way.

The sermon sounds like it's going to be a total win. I don't suppose you'd consider posting it here, afterwards? beachlass does that with her sermons sometimes, and I always get a lot out of reading them. I'm sure yours would be thought-provoking, too.

St. Paul is actually never sweetness-and-light, IMO. I love how edgy he is, in fact.
