my brother's birthday is april 28th, and he says that he spends each birthday contemplating william bligh and the mutiny on the bounty.

me? the closest i can claim is guy fawkes day :(
(my actual birthday being the day after fawkes' arrest - that is, the anniversary of his torture.)
