GJ tosses fanartists for content, IJ has Google ads which forbid adult content on sites, JournalFen has robust servers and an 18+ rule that I'm not overly keen on.
Yeah, it's all very discouraging. *makes face* For all those reasons and more, I'm probably not leaving LJ anytime soon.
No! You're right...we all keep using that word, but even if we're trying to use it ironically, at this point it's just saying the opposite of what we mean.
Yeah, I figured that no matter where we went, if it isn't run by folks that understand our needs (in other words, they need to be One of Us), they would encounter the exact same issues and problems we have here.
I'm in the same boat as you -- I've got a couple of fandoms that are not moving anytime soon (I hesitate to say not affected, because everyone's going to be affected by this, whether they realize it or not), so I don't want to leave LJ at the moment, but I don't exactly feel comfortable here, either. If I have to move, I'm thinking JF for the time being, but the age limit is a deterrent. (I'm also trying to figure out where to back up my fic to. Most of it is at The Archive, but I've been writing a lot of jpop fic recently, and The Archive doesn't allow RPF, so... buttons. Who knows.)
This is all such an annoying mess. Poo on you, LJ.

*hugs* I'm looking forward to Scribblit and "the project", because we're running into troubles at other journals even before moving there. *facepalm*

Everybody started out by using "robust" in an ironic sense, and now it's becoming the norm (like "teh internets"), which...yeah.
*shakes head at all of fandom including myself*
