I just got home from a pleasant after-work drink with coworkers to find out that LJ has evidently banned underage PWPs.
I'm still scrolling through the pages of comments, but yes, I've left my comment here regarding the fact that I want to know exactly what is forbidden so that I can make an informed choice about pornish_pixies.
I am not happy.
Fandom is a large part of LJ. Not a majority, but a large part. HP is a large fandom here. And how the hell are you supposed to write Harry Potter fanfic without underage characters being an issue? And am I the only one who's paranoid to think there's a certain timing in this coming out right before the end of canon?
And does this remind anyone of the infamous Yahoo purges a few years ago that sent us fleeing over here in the first place?
