For those of you who don't have germaine_pet friended (and are also interested in reading some really good BtVS/AtS fic), I want to recommend that you check out the Masterlist for the lynnevitational Ficathon. My daughter introduced *me* to BtVS -- and she was only 10 at the time! But of course, you're right: It depends on the kid.

And yes, she has a crush on Spike ... but she has one on Angel, too. It seems she swings both ways.

Very true! But, she's my daughter, and what with the multiple meanings of that term ... I guess I was just being a dad. :-) Truth be told, her friends will argue over who's hottest, and just about every name in BtVS and Angel comes up.

I got into BtVS because of my kids (I think they were 11 and 8 at the time). However, the problem of whether they were old enough for it didn't really arise at the time because the BBC cut it to shreds to show it in the early evening. 5 second fight scenes and all swear words cut out etc.

Actually, I didn't even realise at the time. It was only when season 3 came round and it actually came out on video before the BBC showed it, that I got a clue what I was missing.
