"Reciprocity" aka "the Seventies Spangel" - NC17 - S/A, Angel fic

Mar 03, 2006 21:11

This fic is so unlike anything else that I usually do that I don't even have an icon that goes well with it. But Angel's naked ass goes nicely with everything. Heh.

Title: Reciprocity
Author: femmenerd
Characters/Pairing: Angel, Spike/Angel
Rating: NC17 for guilt, despair, low quality booze, and back alley shagging. Oh, and blood.
Disclaimer: ( Read more... )

my fic, my fic: buffyverse, btvs, ats, spike/angel

Ooh, I've always loved 70s Spangel. My favorite S/A fics are set after Angel's ensouling and before Sunnydale. I like the idea that they met up every few decades for a shag. :)

Thanks you so much. I'm glad that you thought Spike came through clearly as well, even considering that most of the focus here is on Angel.

Loved this. Lotta little things that send it straight up my alley:

pinky finger lifted a tiny bit up-almost imperceptible to anyone else-and an image wafts up of a Victorian gentleman...Love how as hard as Spike works at it, William's still there in him.

For more than a century he’d been liberated from guilt and now it’s everywhere, suffocating him, making him throb in all the wrong places. ...It's the guilt that's making him want it, as much as the need to escape, which makes the Angel bottoming make a lot of sense. Good on you ;o)

He doesn’t want to be loved. Not now. Not like this. ...This is heartbreaking, and I always love A/S that starts with a fist fight.

this Spike is something that Angelus would be proud of-unrepentant and joyful in his power....I made this monster....And it's just so fucking messed up because a part of Angel Angel can't help is proud too, saying yes yes yes, that's the way to do it--no mercy--be a monster...

Gah. Wonderful story. I hope you do more A/S in the future. Thanks for this.

Thank you. :)

I must say that after our convo the other day, I was determined to make the bottoming make sense. See, I usually envision it in a post-NFA tenderness kind of way so it was interesting to figure out a totally different scenario.

And it's just so fucking messed up because a part of Angel Angel can't help is proud too, saying yes yes yes, that's the way to do it--no mercy--be a monster...

Gah! Good point.

Mind-blowing.

This hit a lot of my Angel kinks, Spike kinks, too:
Pre-series, so right away, I love it.
Always, in alleys. What would Angel or Spike do, if not for alleys?
Punk!Spike
Lost!Angel
Fill-in-the-blank on canon.

Funny thing: the first thing I thought when I saw the 70s scene in Orpheus was, "hey, wait a minute! Spike was in NYC in the 70s, too!!"

thanks for this; it feels like a gift.

Excellent! This is a marvelous fic that really captures Angel's state of mind at that period.

I love that Angel's not surprised to meet up with Spike.

Love how Angel's self-loathing and unhappiness with what he's done is expressed here:

There’s a tenderness in those pretty blues that Angel resents. He doesn’t want to be loved. Not now. Not like this.

And the ending? Perfect!

Thank you. :)

Thank you. It was originally a bit longer but Kita poked me into making it punch more.
