The program's called "Rhetoric and Public Culture." It's interdisciplinary. I don't really know what they do but I've met them in Lit Theory and Comp. Lit classes. And every once in awhile one of them will take one of my department's classes. Although apparently people are afraid of us because supposedly students from my department have higher expectations that the classes we take will be organized and useful. A girl from the French department told me that we film dorks all seem "intense" or hard-core or something.

I find it ridiculous that I didn't see this post and then made one of my own where I tried to be lucid for half a sentence and then trailed off into, "OMG, have you seen Jared's HANDS?" I think they're a great way to make an argument.

Yes, yes yes! It's interesting, but people keep encouraging me to write Rory/Dean babyfic and as soon as I think about Rory getting pregnant it just makes me think about Lorelei, and Rory's own experience of being mothered and how formative it was in her life. I mean, I think it is for most of us - but those two were in a dyad.

In general, I'm interested in the ways that in pretty much all love relationships there are also more complicated (and often negative) emotions bound up in there as well.

Also? I feel fairly certain that Rory would be a v. different kind of mother than either her own mother of grandmother. *ponders*

Hee! Probably the most necessary thing is out of your control - time in which I am both emotionally in that space and not freaking out about school. I hope I do though.
