Superman was my crush when I was twelve, and it was hard at first, reading smut about him, because back then, it was an innocent crush, totally sexless. He just saved me -uh, Lois, a lot.

But, and I mean this, there needs to be more Lois/Clark/Superman smut. Because I can get behind that.

Truly.

and maybe with a little bit of Lex mixed in, because fandom has totally corrupted me at this point.

Hee! Y'know, Lois is my favorite "superhero girlfriend." Except maybe Catwoman, but she's also a superhero in her own right, in an ambiguously moralled kind of way. (Or, hee! ANGEL on BtVS.) I just like Clark and Lois's relationship so much better than things like uh, Peter Parker and Mary Jane because Lois like has her own dealie going on. She has more character.

So I have no shame about looking forward to when/if SV eventually gets its Clois on.

And now I'm trying to remember who I had a crush on when I was twelve.

Lois wasn't treated very well in the comics for a long time - her only past time seemed to be getting into trouble and trying to either marry Superman or expose his secret identity.

Thankfully by the time I started reading the comics (early to mid 80's due to my crush on Christoper Reeve's version of Superman), it got better. Lois seemed to be getting more interesting, less two dimensional. More like the character she is today.

And I'll tell you, I stopped watching SV when it looked like Lex and Clark were gonna truly start throwing down (I'm a closet CLex girl) but I'll come back if they finally start CLois for real.

Well, to be truthful I haven't read very many of the comics, but I have seen all of the recent movie versions and I think Lois has gotten a better character makeover than the girls in the other ones.

Although on SV I mostly like Lois for her extreme goofiness.

I think this season and the second half of last season of SV have been better than the couple preceding, but yeah, they're definitely still on the Clark/Lana train. But part of what I've been liking has been how much more interesting Lana's gotten since she got all Luther-ified and sneaky and stuff.

And I'm not a Clex shipper really (though I find their relationship interesting and MR really charismatic) but there's been more hints of Clex-i-ness recently, I think. HOWEVER, if and when the Clois starts happening I will definitely be rejoicing talking about it on this journal, I can assure you.

Just curious, have you read Djinn's Trinity Series? It's been a while since I read them, but I remember being really into her stuff. This series is like, Bruce, Clark, Lois and Diana, in various combinations.

No, I have not! To be honest, I'm not THAT familiar with DCU canon - I mean, beyond the fact that it's hard to grow up in this culture without SOME knowledge. A few comics here and there, the movies, SV, etc. But I'll check that out - I've read some of her other stuff (Firefly, I think?) and remember liking it.
