Street sign spotted in Berkeley: "Speed Hump"

I am filled with images of Benny Hill. Is it only lack of exposure that makes this sign that much funnier to me than "speed bump" is? I think not.

My favorite street signs remain "Thickly Settled" and "Frost Heaves"

Heh. I love "Thickly Settled". In the end, though, I have to go with the old standby as my favorite: "No Passing Zone".

yeah! i was going to tell this story about this bougie part of the town i grew up in that got a lot of speed humps installed because they wanted it nice and calm... except it was a prime ambulance route, so they had to get them uninstalled... and all the talk of speed humps was pretty funny.

i like signs that say "bear left." but they also make me a little sad. where did he go?
