I only have windows internet explorer and I keep switching the browseron and off...

I suggest downloading Opera or Firefox and trying it in there. I think LJ is having fits with certain browsers atm

It's outfoxed me right now... I'll try again later and try to DL firefox.

A couple of us were having issues with LJ a day or so ago. One person couldn't see one of her icons and I was having problems seeing an updated page. I use Firefox.
