I love this conversation between sisters and old friends, as well as the reunion for those few who knew about the Year That Never Was, the hints at future tech, the visual of Tish looking like mum's mum.

I like that, in spite of her own discomfort, Martha is going to go for a short while for everyone else...and for her sister.

You've packed a LOT of those 50 years into here quite nicely. Well done.

Martha was awesome from the beginning, and this is very Martha. Nice work.

Your "Like Any Old Day" is powerful. I've been watching Doctor Who since childhood, but I rarely read its fanfiction; that said, this interlude felt like the better angels of the show to me, and triumphantly, diligently, "somewhere else, the tea is getting cold"* correct. Thank you for sharing it.

* From "Survival," the final adventure of the original run. I don't mean to be obscure when I'm trying to be complimentary!

I love this -- the whole idea of a reunion of the people who were aboard the Valiant, because I always think about these things later. How would it affect them to know something the rest of the world didn't? (And Jack already looking younger than anyone else...gotta love Jack!)

Just found this fic and wanted to say your future version of Martha is wonderful. I really like the way you've extrapolated forward from her experiences to write about where she'd end up. Lovely.
