Oh, Rose... this is lovely. Just painfully and heartbreakingly wonderful.

I wish it'd happened this way, rather than Gaeta's snark. I want to see the scrolls used, and "the two fiery sages" should assuage Roslin that there can be two people leading the way to Earth.

And I loved how it was Kara and Dee without it being about the QoD. What a great insight into who Dee used to be and how she's changed, and how she wants to change further. And Kara... so sad and broken, but still trying. Not just to prove it to herself, but for the Admiral, who's giving her a chance.

They really need to convince Roslin. Grr.

Yay, I'm glad you liked it!

Heh, there was stuff there at one point... it got chopped because it didn't fit. Plus, who really wants to hear that conversation when there's destiny to be discussed?! *g*

Shocking! Are you implying that destiny is more important than BOYS? Crazy talk!

*happysigh* Oh, my girls. I love this, I love the idea that Dee is going to help get Roslin to come round, I love that Kara isn't entirely sure about how to do it.

This was familiar, thought Dee.

I got excited as soon as I read this first sentence.

Dee felt an obligation to encourage her--she resented the sensation, but she went ahead.

This is perfect. (As is her method of encouraging Kara.) I love your take on Dee . Her brusque matter-of-factness, and her ability to put everything aside for the task at hand, her relationship with her religion - it all rings so true.

"The groin" = genius, great way to shift the mood.

Oh, two fiery sages. Perfect. (It would be really nice if something like this would happen on the show.)

The moment Kara had returned with her dramatic statement about taking them to Earth Dee had known. Kara was touched by the sun. It explained so much: how no one could see anything or anyone beyond her, how she spiraled into her own destructive patterns. Kara's return was when Dee finally gave up being jealous of what Kara had, what Dee had wanted... because life had taught her that those who were touched by the sun so often burned away. Such a perfect description of ( ... )

HEE! Mizar actually means that! I was researching binary stars for this fic and stumbled across it. (I think Mizar is one of the stars in Ursa Major... near the groin, doubtless.)

Apparently I'm good at making up vaguely prophetic proclamations? Who knew! *g* Anyway, I'm glad it felt right, thanks.

I know the prompt was insane, too, but you've done an amazing job with it

Aw, I liked your prompt. There was never any question about which prompt I was going to do, it was obvious from the start. Just a matter of kicking my muse hard enough to finally write stuff worth keeping.

I'm so pleased you liked it, yay!
