The grad student/takeout one is classic. I have that on my office door, along with "We must do everything we can to perpetuate this climate of fear" and "you know what sucks? Everything I hate."
Did you check out the issue a few weeks ago in celebration of the CA legalization of gay marriage? Classic.
Their most tasteless one (but also blindingly funny) came out two weeks after Anna Nicole Smith died...it said "Anna Nicole Smith finally down to target weight."

:) OUCH .
Sadly, the Onion isn't a thing people read/talk about here in Canada so much. I *did* enjoy the episode of This American Life where the reporter goes inside the writers room at The Onion where they are trying out bad jokes.
It's even more funny because I told the partner I am fascinated by Indian food menus, particularly the way spices are described to a Western audience :)
This idea came to me in Victoria BC. I had this crazy idea that I would write a paper about the way in which Indian food menus are constructed for a Western audience (i.e. don't be afraid of spices) and then conduct interviews with Indian chefs to discuss the importance of taste/spices in "authentic" Indian cuisine and how that changes according to a Western palette and in turn, how that represents globalization/neo-colonialism/typical immigrant experience.

And given that I found it so, I should probably go lie down.
