Mindmapping to Create a Syllabus

I opted to try something new for my new course called Transnational Feminisms. I DIY'd a mindmap on the wall, creating categories and writing readings/topics on post-it notes that could be read within that category. I need to try this method for my next upper level class! (Teaching a 100-level class is really weird for me...it's my first.)

Did you use sticky notes for the whole thing or tape and glue some places?

both - with the humidity, post-its weren't sticking so I had to tape them up anyway.

This post made me want to paint some of the walls of my house with whiteboard or chalkboard paint so I would write all over them!

In the last year I've become such a fan of whiteboards or tackboards. Keeping to-do lists has been fundamental to organizing my life.
This was such a neat experiment that really paid off
