Let's talk about Season of the Witch for a moment, shall we?

Now, I like sci-fi/fantasy. I like history. I especially like historical fantasy. Oh, God, and Nicky Cage is playing a Crusader, too. CRUSADERS DID NOT HAVE ANY KIND OF MORAL AUTHORITY, HOLLYWOOD, JFC.

This is gonna be Wicker Man in period costumes, I can see it now.

The last Crusade ended in 1291, and witch-hunting was outlawed by Papal decree until 1320. So it's inaccurate AND misogynist.

Of course she does! We all know that any woman who embraces her sexuality is eeeevil, so of course it's natural for evil women to use their sexuality against poor helpless men!

(Again, this mindset is ripped STRAIGHT from the witch hunters themselves. Like the story about the woman who stole mens' penises, or the woman who flew in through a [married] man's window and raped him, or the numerous stories about women having sex with the Devil. It's really depressing to see how little we've progressed in the last six hundred years.)
