I think Frozen is less feminist than some of Disney's previous princess movies. Ariel fought back against her authoritative father and he learned to love the daughter he had instead of the one he thought he ought to have. And Ariel rescued her crush who she says straight up is hot. And yeah that's revolutionary - normally women are the ones valued for their looks. No one since Aurora has had the goal of ~finding true love~ until Anna. Ariel wanted out of the sea. Belle wanted out of her Podunk town. Cinderella wanted a day off. Etc.
