I love porn. I'm pretty pro-pron and pro-sex-work, and I really enjoy this uprising of feminist prom -- anti-racist, anti-sexist, anti-heterosexist, anti-sizeist pickings from which women AND men can select and enjoy while not promoting the sexism of mainstream pornography.
I also think it's hilarious that they reference that blog post about Firefly and Joss Whedon that was circulating not too long ago.
SERIOUSLY. Now THAT is problematic. Hello, we have sex drives too! And can be subjects as well as objects! And, guess what, are also aroused by visual stimuli. Who knew?
I know I'm happy to see more erotic media that's oriented toward women and made with attention to the problems in mainstream porn. I like the idea of porn, but without the feminist/female-oriented stuff, it generally ranges between not appealing to offensive.
I agree that it's a step in the right direction. Even if it's only seeing it from a harm-reduction perspective.
