There's much to be said about the house interaction and that last line summed up what the entire house unity ideal can't realistically acheive because of what it is. The houses divide, causing egocentrism, it's bound to happen. I love how you show Pansy kind of realising what's happened, because being Slytherin and all makes her more likely to be blinkered about certain unity issues. But in the end even if there isn't remorse there's a certain understanding...
