I enjoyed this a lot! Pansy is one of my favorite minor characters to see explored in fic, and this is a wonderful, instantly fully-formed, well-executed take on her.

I'm so glad! I love writing about the motives behind fairly unlikeable characters

Lovely!

To be free was no small thing for a Parkinson woman, and she relished it every morning as she set out her paints and poured a perfect espresso in a tiny cup.

This line was especially poetic, and an excellent way to finish the story.

Excellent. I especially liked the recurring theme of the tiny cups. On the one hand, we believe that life measured out in teaspoons and tiny cups is not fulfilling, yet Pansy has, by her own choices, completely filled a small space and is content. That is no small thing.

Wow, thank you so much! I think in the end, it's not quantity that leads to happiness, but making the most of the small amount you do have :)

Beautiful look at both marriage and why a woman would or would not want it, of the regrets and lack of that happen when you make a choice right for you, and at Slytherins and their friendships.
