French Women Don't Get Fat , and damnit neither will I!!!! So Atkins brought me down from a tight size 12 to a slim 5/6 back in college, but it also made my breath stink and gave me headaches. Going to the gym gave me shapely legs and a more defined behind, but let me keep it real, I'm lazy and I got tired of bulky old men trying to talk to me. ( Read more... )

I try to eat well and I do go to the gym (although not as much as I want to)... but I've never tried any fad diets. Everyone is different, you know? I don't think that one diet is going to be tailor made for everyone ( ... )

Yeah they're super easy and that whole workout probably takes around 40 mins give or take a few depending on if you feel like throwing in some ab crunches (those I do on a yoga ball for core strength).

I usually do that workout to music with a good beat to get me motivated or in front of the TV to distract me.

Also I would recommend taking a brisk walk (20 mins) after that workout as a cool down.

I take it that you didn't catch good morning america this morning...They found alot of fat women in France. They are picking up america's attitude when it comes too food.

I plan to hit the gym as soon as the new one opens on campus. Im really excited to enroll in aerobics, pilates, and yoga!

They have been getting alot lazier over years, like driving instead of walking. No home cooked meals either. They've stopped all of that.

Well I have been trying to cut down on how much I eat at one setting. I need to eat more slowly... I find myself going to lunch and spending so much time waiting for my food that I end up gobbling it down so that I can clock back in on time-- all the more reason for me to start cooking and taking my own lunch to work.

There is also a new gym opening and I might join-- I figured that becuase of how I am, I'm more likely to go if I have to pay for it. Hopefully I'll have more energy by time they open up though-- because these days I get home from work and could go to sleep at 7pm. (And I'm fighting my sleep right now and its not even 9 yet)

But I have managed to lose like 3 pounds. Just by eating smaller portions, limiting my soda intake, and drinking more water. Plus if I do snack during the day I try not to eat the most fattening things I can find-- like cookies and chips which are usually cheap and easy to get.

You know I was grinning at this post :-D

I'm glad you like your body the way it is. Oui, ma cherie!

I still beat myself up for not eating right/exercising. I'm thinking about joining the gym though... b/c I really do like weights, I just hate cardio. I was a HS cheerleader, so I'm used to sweaty, grunting men checking me out no matter what...

But making good food choices is the struggle for me. I KNOW what to eat and not eat... I just can't get myself to do it. If it involves cooking, its NOT gonna happen. Its an ongoing battle that I'm determined to win. Sooner or later.

LOL...I was a HS cheerleader, too...well sorta. We had a cheerleading squad AND a step team. I was on the step team ;)

I notice that now I'm able to maintain my weight whereas back in college I gained like 15-20 lbs. Now I see how even though now I'm eating similar foods as I did back then, the way I eat now is what allows me to maintain my weight.

That whole statement was taken directly from my thoughts.
