Can I have a personal question?
Ive been battling with my low iron level like 5 years now. It always goes the same: symptomes, I go to the doctor, blood test, results: low iron leven, iron supplements, I feel better but after a few months I feel like shit again.
Your doc has an an idea why it keeps comming back? Because my doc has no idea. I even went to a hemetologist and nothing:-(
sorry to ask this but i have no idea and maybe in a non-post-communist country the docs might have a clue

Actually this is the first time I've been told I need iron so I'm not sure why exactly it dropped so drastically. My bet would be on it being the same reason as for why I need B12 shots: My digestive system isn't absorbing nutritions the way it's supposed to. It's the whole gluten allergy thing that's meesed up my stomach. Or something like that.

My mother-in-law and sister-in-law are both on iron supplements though and have been for years. Some kind of genetic thing that makes them low in iron. Not really sure what.

I'm sorry I can't be of more help. I hope you find some answers. *hugs*

-hugz back-

Actually u helped.
My doc told me that more tests needed to be done ...I guess I really need to find the time for those -bloody- tests. Ive never thought it can be a genetic thing. I guess thats why my doc wanted to do the tests. :-(
