Best of luck with the writing and best of luck with the voting. I'm pretty much in the same place regarding the voting. I counted votes in the last parliamentary elections and one of the invalid votes had a large drawing of a penis on it and I'm kind of inclined to do that myself this time around.

Hubby says people that are voting blank should just take the list and put it right in the box without even the pretense of voting. As a big Fuck you! He did however also say they might get arrested for propaganda at the voting place so maybe not such a good idea. *g*

Have you read the SPN voting fic? Where Sam thinks Dean is voting based on who has the biggest rack and turns out Dean's the one who has a much clearer view of who is the best candidate. Love that fic. Thought I had it bookmarked but I can't find it. *sighs*

I think that voting for the lesser of 7 evils is the best thing to do. I understand the handing in a blank vote, but if people do that there is more chance of someone like Sjálfstæðisflokkurinn to win again!

Well, yeah, except apparently many of those who are planning to vote blank are the ones that voted D last time. *grins* Unless people really are on crack they aren't winning this time. They haven't been this unpopular in decades. And really, voting for one of the small left wing parties would mean the same thing since that vote has no chance of making a difference anyway. *shrugs*

But I'm not voting blank. I'm just not sure whether I want Samfylkingin to get my vote this time, they've been total idiots lately. Everyone has been. They all waste so much time blaming the other side they don't have time to actually DO anything to make it better. Politics! *rolls eyes*

But yeah, I voted Samfylkingin.. It was either them or VG but I just disagree with them on some key elements so ... Samfylkingin got my vote. Even though I do agree, they are always blaming each other...

But I still maintain that VG and S have done a hell of a lot, or it at least seems like it, in this short time they've been in power. ...

I was just voting, and on the poster there, they said that if you strike out anybody, or check next to any name, it invalidates the vote, jsyk. (This was allowed last time though, right?

I hope that there won't be too many ppl who leave it blank, that´s basically giving the largest party your vote, and if everybody has been smoking crack, and vote XD, then we´re fucked.

Good luck deciding. I decided to go with Samfylkingin, mainly because I 110% trust Jóhanna, and I think she will lead the party much much better then Ingibjörg Sólrún did.

Seriously? WTF? That has ALWAYS been allowed! Christ. Are you sure it didn't say that you aren't allowed to strike out people on the lists you aren't voting for? Because I think that has been before.

I don't think we are in any danger of getting a right wing government this time around. They haven't been this unpopular in ages. And many of those that are saying they're gonna vote blank are the ones who used to vote D and are now too pissed off to do that. And that's saying alot because the XD vote often has been inbred for generations.

On that note, you might say voting for one of the small left parties is just as much giving the right wing your vote because on the whole it won't accomplish anything. It's sad really that the left wing has never managed to be as united as the right, if only so we had a better chance of overturning them.

Haha, I voted for Jóhanna when she was all "Minn tími mun koma!" I guess I was ahead of my time because guess what, it came. *g*

I think you misunderstood it.

You can only strike out people in the party you are voting for. If you strike out someone from another party the vote is vetoed.
