What programs do you recommend to convert video files (.avi .mov .wmv .divx) to a format iPod recognices? I'm thinking, once I've gotten the iPod, that I'll move all my videofiles over there to free up some space. It's getting kinda crowded in here ( Read more... )

Ok, I see they have that one for Mac. Did you buy it or find it on a torrent? I'm not too keen on paying for any programs really, I'm cheap like that. (And in other ways too. *g*)

Ah!

So far I've been able to find most programs I need on torrents with the serial number with. Have had a few instances where I couldn't use Word and be online at the same time in cafes and such because someone else in the vicinity was obviously the same cheating thief as I am. lol But other than that it's been fine. I'm gonna poke around and see what I can find.

VIsualHub and iSquint do that, I think. On Macs.

I use VisualHub regularly to turn .avis into files I can watch on my TiVo (the program also includes a thingie that transfers to the files onto the TiVo which is very handy), but soon I will experiment w/making an .avi into a burnable DVD thing, because I've finally found a show I want to keep/share (Blackpool, if you're wondering).
