I took a nap after driving the little guy to kg and I dreamt there was a flood or an earthquake or some other natural disaster and in all the chaos someone stole my laptop. Yeah, I mean, I think Dean does believe it's no big deal to some extent...but I also agree that some of it is convincing himself.

The scene with Dean doubling over after Mr. Stevens was painful. As were all the times Dean winced and took it and looked over at Sam and Sam didn't question the money or the gifts. Sometimes ignorance really is bliss, eh, Sammy.

Oh I so get the anxiety about losing your computer. It's a little hilarious, that scenario, though - kids? has anybody seen my laptop?! I mean, terrible and all, but funny.
So, please tell me that you do have backup of all your work! Wether it's CD's or an external hard drive, but you always need to have backup!!! In case of flood or earthquake, or laptop meltdown.

This is everything I love about Dean, and why he breaks my heart so often. I went back to read the previous two stories in this Normal verse, and seriously, the second one just about killed me. *sobs* Dean's determined denial, his singular focus on making Sammy happy and keeping his okay.....god, it just makes me love him to pieces. And *you*, for writing him. :)

What Lyns said. And I don't think Dean's fooling anyone - not Sam and not himself. And now that he's actually begun his "thing" with Sam, it will be that much mroe difficult for him to rationalize the meaningless sex. Poor Dean.

First I want you to know that I had to stop whimpering and bawling before I could actually come in here and feedback proper like. I mean I am ALL about this series. I wanted to see it grow because there are never enough of these boys for me.

But dear fucking GEEZUS Felis this chapter pretty much ate my guts. And all I can think and forgive me for this because all I can think or care for is Dean right now. All I can think is Sam isn't even telling Dean the half of how he feels about all this. If I was Sam I would put hurt upon every. single. person who touched Dean in that way. Or at least pummel Dean until he stops thinking this is all just NOTHING.

How could Dean EVER, ever, ever, ever think that is OK? That this is all good? And he does it for SAMMY. Oh god I won't cry again. He has to think how SAM feels about all this. How this is affecting SAM to know this ( ... )
