Drabblecall

So I've been thinking... ("A dangerous past time." "I know")

Still haven't decided whether I'm taking the laptop with me or not.

Why I should

Can write/read on the plane if/while the kids sleep
Can write/read once we're there when the kids take naps
Kids can watch DVDs on it
I can change music on my mp3 player

Why I shouldn'tProbably won't ( Read more... )

Don't take your computer on vacation. It's almost never worth the aggravation and effort of dragging it around and worrying about it getting stolen. You can write porn in a little book, and if you have time you could probably find a internet cafe to check your e-mail/flist if you really wanted to.

I would opt not to take the laptop, especially if you don't have anywhere ultra safe to store it in the apartment/hotel you're staying at. Otherwise, you'll end up having to carry it with you everywhere you go.

It's the same dilemma I'm having with my MP3 player (which is old and much bigger than an ipod).

Your reasons of Why you shouldn't take your laptop are pretty good. In my opinion it might be a better idea to just use a binder or something like that.

Then to my request. *g* I wasn't sure if it was supposed to be your icon or mine but I picked one of my own. It was made for me by spikeschild I'm using it as a icon in this reply.

I always thought if I had a laptop I would take it on holiday with me, but given the reasons you listed, I too would recommend leaving it at home.

I worry enough about my hand bag when I'm out and about. I can't begin to imagine worrying about a precious iBook as well.

As for drabbles. If you feel the need to do one for the icon I'm currently using, then please do. *Puppy Eyes*

I would suggest that you probably leave the laptop at home sand, nosy relatives and the risk of getting it stolen seems like good enough reasons to keep it at home.

And for a drabble, either this one;
