I searched for the lyrics since I couldn't quite remember all of it and came upon a lively discussion on what it was about. All from gays to joints to Nazis! But you're right, it does sound rather gay.

I always interpreted Me and Julio Down By the School Yard by Paul Simon as rather gay but it could have been about drugs or something.

I remember once finding a site that had stories and explanations behind songs. Sadly I never bookmarked it and I can't find it. *pouts*
