The US has always been behind the UK in releasing these things. They were 1-2 years at least behind in releasing each season. Don't know why that was. The big Buffy box is being released in the UK on October 31st, same as the Angel one but not until November 15th in the US. Possibly Angel will be released in November as well and just hasn't been put up on Amazon yet. Both those boxes have been up for pre-ordering for months on Amazon.co.uk though.

Naked Spike in s5? I don't know. Wasn't it showed quite late in the US? Later in the day than Buffy? I have a vague recollection of reading that somewhere but I could be wrong.

They showed Buffy at 5 pm here. Angel never made it to Iceland, actually the last two seasons of Buffy never did either. Download was our bestest friend. But my downloads have all been corrupted for some reason. I haven't been able to watch s4 or 5 of Angel for a year. I'm having very bad withdrawals. *shivers* I'm buying that box no matter what hubby says.

It was shown about mid-evening. Granted, the episode with naked Spike got a special parental warning, but I don't know if that was naked Spike or the general scariness.

I have all the individual season DVDs, I should rewatch Spike about to be dragged into hell again. I've seen Smile Time a couple of times, it was the first thing I played out of the box.

you don't know me but I may have the answer to your question.

Basically Season 1 of Angel was rated 18 both on Video and DVD, and if I remember rightly it was because of the episode where he is given a happy pill / drug (Ecstasy??) .

So that would probably explain it.

And the next free ride would be if my other sister decides to come home for x-mas. Which I don't know if she can.

The upside? The pound is really low now. It's been around 130 ISK for years and now suddenly it's 110. The dollar that was above 100 a few years ago is now around 60. Downside? Makes me surf for stuff I wanna buy but in the end it's still money I don't have. *pouts*
