Just stopping part way through to tell you how much I love this story. There are just so many, many layers to it. Jensen's pain is so tangible. Part of me wants to hug him and protect him from the world and the other part wants to slap him. He has gone through, and continues to go through hell, but the way he treats the people around him - I'm surprised anyone has stuck by him so long. He is so wrapped up in his own pain, and has been for so long, it's like he can't fathom that something that seems minor to him may be excruciating to someone else. He has nothing but his own pain to gauge anything against. It's so sad that he stopped trying to find a therapist that could help him with his PTSD. A lot of it is Chris's fault. I get that he's done everything possible to help him but by shielding him so much, he hasn't allowed Jensen to grow or to take some responsibility for his own mental health. I'm hoping that's what Jared will do. Give him much needed support but not allow Jensen to get away with hurting everyone around him and
