I just finished watching a gay movie called Weekend (2011) which was recommended to me by a girl in my class (she's kinda like a neo-hippie, everything is about love and poetry and the whole world is beautiful. "There's just something so beautiful about two men in love," she's told me again and again with this dreamy smile on her face. Can't argue ( Read more... )

But the ending. Ugh. I need closure and happiness. Lol But the rest was really good.

Yes, but see, in my head, just after they cut, there was a knock on the door. :)

The ending killed me too. It was realistic, but I'm a romantic and wanted better for them both.

I've been waiting for it to appear on the VOD. How did you get your hands on it? Did you download it?

Who? Me? I would never do such a thing! Ehem. Or, you know, yes. I think I just found it using the search bar on Vuze. The file info says extratorrent.

I watched that movie about three weeks ago and yes, I definitely can recommend it too! It feels just very real, very close to life. There's this one scene - the morning after - when one finds out, that, in fact, he was only second choice for that one night stand. Romantic? Nope, but in the end, that really doesn't matter because it's about the very special connection between two people far away from Hollywood clichees. It's the kind of story that feels truthful to me.

Thanks for this post - I hope lots of people will watch it.

I have had this saved on my computer for a few months now, but have been too distracted by tv and fanfic to watch. Good to hear you liked it.
