Staying up until 3 am watching Sherlock, then being unable to sleep for yet another hour so you've only had three hours of sleep when the alarm goes off at 7 am ( Read more... )

But now I so want to see him revert to his old self pre-Sherlock

You already see him revert back on the very last moment before leaving the graveyard. You see John moving in a way a soldier would to take his leave from someone who is his superior. John Watson is back to be a soldier... he's back to where he was before Sherlock came into his life. The process has already started.

I really think you'll get your wish. And, God willing, we won't have to wait ten years!

Sorry for rambling, am still pretty much in shock over here *nods*

Well, I think we have to remember though that once a soldier always a soldier. Even without his history of PTSD I think we would have gotten that reaction, the military kind of respect at the grave of a man who basically fell in battle and was as well a dear friend and comrade. We've seen it enough times in shows and films involving someone with a military background. He probably would have shown that same sign of respect if Lestrade had been the one to die, although obviously he would not be in the same emotional state ( ... )

Having seen it only once, I can't say I noticed actual limping, but I did notice Martin Freeman's stance, his rigid back, and militry style march of a walk. I thought that he was showing the ex-soldier in John Watson's character. For a moment, I thought he was going to salute Sherlock's grave, but I guess, he's angry at him, so he stopped short.

Lovely scene.

Please, please, please, Mr Moffat, don't let us wait as long as we did for this season. *begs on knees*

I saw a tweet this morning: because of the 2 actors' schedules, the filming of the next season will start at the end of 2012. No new season before 2013 :/

*headdesk*

I want to say 'Damn their schedules!' but since I suspect they mean The Hobbit I can't really be THAT pissed. Still... :(

I thought they were mostly done with The Hobbit and that was what we had to thank this delay for? Though I am not as heavily rooted in this fandom as I am in others.

But this season was totally worth the wait, however painful it was.

And I TOTALLY want to see John revert!
